2026 Washington DC Single Adult Conference
June 12–14
About
Capital Connections is an annual conference for single members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, ages 30 and up. We gather in the nation’s capital to meet new friends and followers of Christ, find joy and strength in shared experiences, and discover new spiritual and personal insights.
This year we are particularly excited to be in the nation's capital to help celebrate the 250ᵗʰ Anniversary of the birth of the nation. We hope you'll join us!

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this conference for?
This conference is for single adults ages 30 and up, including members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! Please note that, as per Church policy, all divorces must be final.
When does registration end?
We are still in early-bird registration, which runs until May 31st. After that, the prices will go up, so register soon! You can register by clicking on the "Register Now" button on this page, or by clicking here.
Is it possible to refund a ticket?
We think our conference will be great . . . but we know that sometimes, life takes unexpected turns. We can offer refunds through Friday June 5th. After that, we'll be placing final orders with our vendors, and won't be able to refund tickets.

What clothes should I bring?
We recommend you bring the following:
-
Outdoor clothes with walking shoes
-
Social formal for Gala, themed "Somewhere in Time" – fancy clothes, period or timeless
-
Sunday clothes
What else should I bring?
-
Picnic blanket for picnic
-
Pickleball paddles if you're doing the pickleball activity (optional)
-
Board games or puzzles to share (optional)
-

If I'm coming from out of town, where should I stay?
We don't have lodging reserved for those coming from out of town, so you'll need to make your own reservations. Thankfully, there are several reasonable options close to transportation and the meetinghouse where we'll be on Saturday. We recommend the following:
For those reserving a short-term rental, any within easy driving distance of the Crystal City Meetinghouse or the Washington DC Temple (see detailed agenda for addresses) should work fine.)

Can I drive?
Yes, parking will be available at all of the venues. Parking at the National Mall and at the meetinghouse can be a bit complicated, so please check the detailed agenda or the Whova app for details. Also, please help by carpooling if possible.
Can I take public transportation?
Public transportation is available for Friday and Saturday activities; check the detailed agenda for specifics. For Sunday, the Washington DC Temple Visitor's Center and Stake Center do not have public transportation close by, so you will need to carpool; we will be using the Whova app to help with coordinating carpooling.

What meals will be provided?
We will be providing dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and lunch and dinner on Sunday, in addition to beverages and snacks throughout the conference.
What meals do I need to plan for myself?
If you're going to be there the full weekend, you'll need to plan on Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast. We will have discussion sections in the Whova app where you can coordinate meeting up with other attendees for those meals if you would like.
I have special dietary needs, can you accomodate them?
If you have special dietary needs, please be sure to indicate them in your application form. We are planning on doing our best to meet special dietary needs, including providing dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian options to the extent possible.

How will you be communicating with attendees?
We will be using both emails and the Whova app to communicate with attendees. You do not need to use the Whova app, but if you do not have the app, please keep a close eye on your email for communications from us.
How can I get in touch with other attendees?
You can use the Whova app to chat with other attendees, and can get their contact information if they have chosen to share it. Note that you have the option to hide your contact information in the app if you so choose.

Are there any other preparations I should make before I go?
If you are planning on participating in certain activities, you may need to take care of some things before you arrive - and ideally, the sooner the better!
-
If you are coming for the Temple session, we will be there at 1:00 PM, and you will need to make your own reservation for the session (here.)
-
If you want to come see the tall ships and do an on-board tour (optional), you will need a reservation for that; tickets for the Gazela are available but going fast (here.)
Are there any other fees or expenses to be aware of?
Nope! Everything in our itinerary is covered, aside from the two meals not covered (Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast; see Meals, above), and any transportation or lodging needs.
-
